A leading West Midlands accountancy firm is celebrating being named one of the top 100 fundraisers for Birmingham Children's Hospital in 2023.
Prime Accountants Group was invited to the BCH 100 Heroes Awards in recognition of the businesses and individuals who collectively raised £2.1 million for the hospital last year.
Prime, which has offices in Birmingham, Solihull and Coventry, is a long-term supporter of BCH and all its annual fundraising efforts go directly to support it.
Associate director Kerrie Given attended the event at the iconic Library of Birmingham on behalf of Prime, along with her daughter Sophie.
“It was an unbelievable event and I was in a room with some remarkable people,” said Kerrie.
“One particular quote I remember is from the host, Pete Morgan, who said ‘Not all heroes wear capes’ – and the room was certainly full of heroes.
“Collectively, everyone in the room helped to raise a phenomenal £2.1million for the hospital over the last 12 months. It was wonderful to be a part of that and represent the fantastic team at Prime who have contributed to this success.”
Prime has held a multitude of events in support of BCH, including Le Tour in 24, where team members rode the distance of the Tour de France on exercise bikes in 24 hours.
A BCH spokesperson said: “Collectively, everyone in the room helped to raise a phenomenal £2.1million for our hospital, which is an outstanding and transformational amount. Our fundraisers’ continuous and selfless dedication knows no bounds and we were so pleased to celebrate their achievements.
“All our 100 heroes now have a special balloon on our Red Balloon corridor at the entrance of our hospital. We can't do what we do without our brilliant supporters, you all mean the world to us.”
