JUNE Medical Group is thrilled to announce that its revolutionary, self-retaining Galaxy II™ surgical retractors are now available across the USA. Following the creation of a successful distribution partnership with Medworks to supply the Galaxy range to urology and gynecology surgery markets across several states, JUNE Medical is now rapidly expanding the availability of this popular range by recruiting a direct sales network to supply other states and additional surgical specialties.

The Galaxy II retractor features unique cam locks that allow single-handed adjustment on the frame, and has been extremely well received by surgeons across Europe. JUNE Medical is now bringing the advantages of this award-winning design to hospitals and clinics throughout the US, beginning with the Medworks partnership, which covers seven US states on both the East and West coasts for all Galaxy-range products.

Medworks is already supplying the Galaxy range to the urology and gynecology surgery markets through its extensive hospital client base. Darrell Shires, president of Medworks commented: “We are extremely pleased to have partnered with JUNE Medical on its Galaxy range. Because of our expertise as a technology supplier in urology and gynecology, the Galaxy products have fitted seamlessly into our portfolio, and we are now supplying them to numerous hospitals.”

Angela Spang, CEO of JUNE Medical, commented: “We are delighted to have Darrell and Medworks on board with us, helping JUNE Medical to expand the use of its innovative surgical products in the US market. Our aim is now to expand our network of distribution partnerships and direct sales to supply the Galaxy II to surgeons in every state.”
